About

Little Known Help Zone believes in providing kids with what they need to embrace their passions and give back to their communities, creating a brighter future.

This was inspired by founder Makenna Lenover’s 8 year mission to provide children with the tools they need to succeed in education. Rather than tackle institutionalized problem, we started small, with school supplies packs that provide confidence and the necessities for children to reach their fullest potential.

Little Known Help Zone Prides Itself on 3 Tenants

Action: This is accomplished through the mini grant application, by having kids enter for grants to start their own service projects, we’re contributing to a brighter tomorrow.

Advocacy: Community partners are key to the growth of educational empowerment. Through speaking initiatives, and the book tour, our message is getting out there.

Legacy: To create a project that lives on, Little known Help Zone is funded partly by a children’s interactive coloring book, Color Creates a Brighter Future, written by founder Makenna Lenover. This book raises funds for our action and encourages children to embark on their own service projects.

Background

We started with our focus on the unknown areas. Central American charities are often overlooked, yet they have poverty rates as high as African countries. For 6 years, we worked tirelessly to bring awareness and relief to causes in these area.

We were a charitable organization devoted to advocacy and collaboration with organizations in Central America that implement sustainable change for much needed causes including animal and ecosystem protection, children’s education, and fair trade labor rights.

Find out more about these projects in archived posts and the tabs along the site.
